We respect our future with eco-friendly behaviours and responsible resource consumption
The environmental protection is a priority and we want to further increase focus on our consumption to monitor and contain our carbon footprint. Aware of the strength we all have together, we are committed to raising awareness and involving people in virtuous initiatives and projects.
These are our strategic objectives:

Our commitments:
- Monitor and reduce AMCO’s carbon footprint
- Transition from natural gas heaters to electrical heat pumps fuelled by certified renewable energy, for heating purposes

- Total transition of the corporate fleet from diesel and/or petrol-fuelled cars to hybrid ones

What does “we respect our future” mean?
CONSUMPTION REDUCTION
To reduce GHG emissions and reduce energy consumption, we use sensor lights in our Milan offices.
Starting from winter 2022, closure of offices during days with high traffic intensity, holiday “bridges”, winter holidays as well as during periods with extremely low temperatures.
PAPERLESS APPROACH
Separate waste collection is guaranteed in all offices, we use stationery made of recycled plastic and FSC-certified paper.
We aim for the dematerialisation of all documents starting with business cards for which we already use barcode technology.
BREATHING GREEN CULTURE
In cooperation with Rete Clima, AMCO created a first event in the Milan area on re-forestation in planting a total of 150 trees. We launched a climate coaching programme to reduce our personal impact on the climate.
We launched a project to avoid food waste in collaboration with ThinkAbout NO Waste, which recovers surplus foodstuffs.
SUSTAINABLE OFFICE BUILDINGS
In January 2023, we achieved the LEED GOLD certification for the Milan headquarters in Via San Giovanni sul Muro 9, in compliance with the ESG criteria.
In February 2024 we were among the first companies in Italy to obtain the Fitwel certification, confirming our focus on employees’ health and well-being.
