S&P affirms BBB rating
STANDARD & POOR’S AFFIRMS AMCO’S
INVESTMENT GRADE RATING AT ‘BBB’ (OUTLOOK NEGATIVE)
Milan, June 30th, 2020. Today Standard & Poor’s (“S&P”) has affirmed AMCO’s investment grade rating, with the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating at ‘BBB’ and the issue rating to AMCO’s senior unsecured debt obligations at ‘BBB’. The Outlook remains negative, mirroring that of the Italian Sovereign.
The agency states that the BP Bari and the Monte Paschi transactions announced yesterday align with S&P’s view of “AMCO’s critical role for an integral link with the Italian Government in the clean-up of troubled banks’ balance sheet”.
Therefore S&P continues to equalize their long-term rating on AMCO with the long-term Sovereign credit rating on Italy.
